(A) Service. Service of all documents and papers other than charging documents must be made in
the manner provided for in the North Carolina Rules of Civil Procedure. If an attorney
represents a party, service must be made on the attorney unless the Court Orders otherwise.
(B) Filing. Any paper that is required to be served must be filed as well.
(C) Notice From the Clerk. The Clerk may give notice of Court action or scheduling in the following manner:
by U.S. Mail; telephone communication, including facsimile; electronic mail; hand
delivery; service by the Marshal, or as directed by the Court.
(D) Records. The Clerk shall keep records in the form prescribed by the Chief Justice, entering
in the records every Court Order or Judgment and the date of entry.
